Wetlands
Bringing this concept to Americans, that all carbon combusted needs to be mitigated cannot be a cost prohibitive project. In developing the Oregon Natural Resources Research Institute, Dr. Leonard J. Schussel of Wonder Earth Partners saw a need for concurrent research based education in natural resources as part of the learning process. By associating the costs of carbon leakage, burning fossil fuels and wood products for energy, with a mechanism for removing that material from the air, we can convince people to consume in an environmentally restorative manner. By focusing on the disposition of carbon, and the accounting for where it ultimately resides, we can create a growth industry to employ people in natural resources management in their local theatre.
